El Jefe in Arvada

I have had better experiences at the smaller El jefe off 44th near Kipling. I love the breakfast burritos. Lunch is ok. They were out of the daily special and then didn't take down my order correctly. If I go back, it'll be the one off 44th and Kipling. Just remember they don't have inside seating there.

Great, great place for a good meal for a great price. I plan on returning for many more visits.

We love their tacos!

Not COVID aware. Workers told me on phone they wear masks. Showed up and kitchen staff had no mask on.

First time eating here and was not disappointed. Ordered breakfast burritos to go and whole family loved them. Real home made burritos with yummy chunks of meat. Definitely a new spot for us!

Rice was dry, beans alright. Steak street tacos were nothing special. Best thing was their prices are affordable.

Will not go back after frequently eating there. Rude counter staff. We ordered Street Tacos and we’re told they don’t take the coupon anymore so we proceeded with the order only to get home and we had regular soft tacos! And they did not taste good at all!

Great Mexican food. Not much ombience.

I ordered Bacon breakfast burritos and received Sausage. That was the first issue. The second issue is that they literally put a WHOLE uncut sausage into the burrito. It looked like a hotdog wrapped in a tortilla. The flavor (apart from the sausage) was decent and the chili seemed to taste good, but i will most likely never order from them again because i cannot understand the kind of laziness that it takes to not read and order correctly, and then not cut a sausage. It's pretty laughable actually.

The food is great and the owners are so nice. A few locations which is pretty convenient as well

So good! My first time in and had the chorizo breakfast burrito and medium green chili and it was delicious! Cant wait to go back and try more of the menu! Highly recommend hidden treasure!!

Inside looks like their still moving in although have been there 4yrs. Bathroom was a mess. Having said that the burritos are good. I'm just concerned about how clean the kitchen really is.

Updating to 5 stars. They have kept their chorizo and have been putting more meat in the burritos! They have an amazing staff and my family and I really look forward to eating their every weekend!!

Mixed review on this place for me. Convenient location for us and decent prices but the food was just so-so. I tried the tacos al carbon and I've had better elsewhere; however, I enjoyed the refried beans that came as a side. My husband said his Mexican hamburger was "about the same a usual, nothing exceptional." As for the chips & salsa, the chips weren't bad, weren't great either, but I really liked their salsa actually. The kids both had cheese quesadillas, which were generous portions, but they were absolutely no frills----but my kids love them plain so it was perfect. Kids had churros for dessert and loved them. We also had the horchata, and it was very tasty! So, I'll definitely go back, but next time my husband and I will order something different.

Local place with lots of choices and pretty good tacos. We had quesadillas and street tacos. The chicken in the quesadilla was tastily marinated. The shredded pork was reasonably good but the salsas needed flavor--neither the tomato nor tomatillo salsa had much zip. The staff member that helped us was friendly and gave a couple suggestions.

I absolutely love this place!! They have great prices for the massive portions they give you. Their food is always so delicious and fresh. Also, the staff is always so friendly. I would really reccomend this place!!

I was looking for good food and thought I'd try out El Jefe's. It was late in the evening so there was no wait. The seating area was pretty unorganized and a little messy. However, the staff very friendly and suggested a splendid meal!

This place has a limited menu, but that is it's strength. They specialize in street tacos and burritos and excel at both. This has become a favorite of my family. Everything we've had has been of excellent quality and flavor. And their prices are fair for what you get. I highly recommend.

OMG! Good breakfast burritos. I also found out you can get them fried. Delicious delicious delicious.Customer service amazing! the young lady was very polite and helpful with my order.Nowadays it's hard to find cashiers that are polite .Thank you and I will be eating there for my breakfast burritos from now on!I almost forgot the green chili is awesome!!!

Food tastes great, lots of options at a fair price. The staff has always been nice and the wait never unreasonable for the time of day. I only wish they would address the interior of the building (seating, floor\walls could use paint ,lots of random unused restraunt machines and buffet style stuff.) needs some TLC maybe more attention to cleaning of tables\counters through the day. if they did that it would be 5 stars. Try it, it's worth it. I'm just saying how I feel. Very cool place with potential!

Ordered breakfast burritos from here through uber eats. They took a piece of sausage and cut it up in slices. The rest of the burrito was mush bland potatoes. So hard to find a good breakfast burrito anymore.

Fast, friendly, cheap and delicious. Didn't even mind my picky egg free dairy free order. A neighborhood favorite. Love their tacos and breakfast burritos, nothing I have ordered has disappointed!

Was recommended by a friend and I was a little concerned when we pulled up. The food was great though and the portions are very large. Took left overs home for the next couple of days.

The food is very good here. Especially, the green chile and breakfast burritos. However, if you go on a Sunday, the wait can be painstakingly long. A 27 minute wait for 4 burritos is a bit longer then expected. Otherwise, this place rocks!

First time here don't usually do reviews on a first time but this place is really really really good. Had a steak breakfast burrito smothered with Pico and the chefs here have pride in their work because they made it look just as good as it tasted which is amazing. Was looking for a breakfast burrito spot that's not too expensive and I found it with this place. Also the girl working the counter was very nice and friendly which always goes great with great food.🔥🔥🔥.

El Jefe is modern inside with a simple outside seating. I heard from a very reliable source a couple of weeks ago that their menu is worth checking out. Especially one thing that I am fond of: Menudo!It's confirmed. Their menudo is the best around within my driving limit for food. And I have none:) it's loaded with meat instead of lots of hominy. The best! It comes in a medium bowl and the smell is pretty strong which to me signals a dish made by someone who loves it like me. I heard their breakfast burrito rocks here tooI don't know if the El Jefe in d/t Denver is related to this Arvada location. I'm not going anywhere now that I found this!Clean location, fast service and it's got its own private parking lot. Orale!

Burritos are good the food is fantastic and this location gets my order right, id love to come sit down on a weekend and enjoy my breakfast but the place is generally not clean/neat there is random stuff out In the eating area and the place just generally doesn’t look clean
